Karissa Smith is the visionary founder of BK Consulting, a premier firm specializing in strategic business management advisory services. With over two decades of hands-on experience in the industry, Karissa has solidified her reputation as a leading expert in her field.

Karissa began her career in retail management at eighteen and quickly achieved her first store management position at the young age of twenty. Passionate and ambitious with a competitive spirit, Karissa continued to climb in the industry and over the course of seventeen years became well known for her ability to drive growth, optimize operations, and engage and motivate her team to achieve individual and organizational success.

In 2019, Karissa felt it was time for a change. Determined to enter a new industry, Karissa began a master’s degree in healthcare administration at the University of Central Florida. Her time at UCF not only laid a strong foundation to enter the healthcare industry, but also equipped her with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to continue to excel in the dynamic world of business management.

After spending three years in healthcare and finding multiple opportunities to enhance customer and employee experiences, maximize performance and profitability, and foster innovation, Karissa pivoted again, realizing she was in a unique position to help businesses of all ages improve their organizations. Thus, Karissa began BK Consulting in 2024 on a mission to empower entrepreneurs to achieve their fullest potential.
